India’s most popular smartphone manufacturer company Micromax has added another smartphone to its Bolt series. Called Micromax Bolt A067, the new smartphone’s pricing and availability was not revealed. But the specifications indicate that it’s going to be a budget phone and the price should be fairly low.

With a dual-SIM slot, none of which support 3G network, the Micromax Bolt A067 has 4-inch (480×800 pixels) WVGA display and 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek. It packs 512 MB RAM just like most other smartphones on the low-end side of the market and has only 4 GB of internal storage.

Micromax Bolt A067 also sports very basic 2 MP rear camera and 0.3 MP front camera. Notable lack of feature is auto focus capability, which none of the cameras has.

The new Micromax Bolt phone does have GPRS/EDGE network, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro-USB port. With 1300mAh battery to power the whole device, it will come in a number of colors including Mint Green, Pure White, Electric Red and Mystic Grey.

The only good thing about Micromax’s new phone is that it runs on Android KitKat version. KitKat is optimized to work better on phones with low hardware. The operating system on this phone might not be updated to the latest version of Android, though.

There is another downside to Micromax Bolt A067, the phone will come pre-installed with a number of applications, also known as bloatware, which will only slow down the performance and eat up space in an already small storage of the phone. Some of the built-in apps are: M! Live, MAD, Reverie, Clean Master, M!Games, Mi security, Truecaller, Opera Mini, and Zapr.

While Micromax has officially enlisted the phone on its website, it has yet to announce how much the phone will cost and when it will arrive in the market.
