Nexus 4 starts receiving Android 4.4 KitKat

Nexus 4 users have long been waiting for Android 4.4 KitKat since it was released with the enormous launch of Nexus 5. And the much-awaited update finally lands on Nexus 4.

Earlier, Google started delivering Android 4.4 KitKat updates for Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets. Now, users are reporting from around the world that they have started receiving over-the-air update for Android 4.4 KitKat. However, due to the large number of users, it may take a little while before such an update notification blips on your Nexus 4. So, you might need to be patient for a while.

Having a Nexus device owner has many advantages and getting Android updates before most other people is definitely one of them. While Nexus 7, Nexus 10, and now Nexus 4 users are already getting the taste of Android 4.4 KitKat, which some reviewers say is best experienced with a Nexus 5, users of Samsung, Sony, and HTC are still waiting to receive 4.4 for their device. HTC, however, has mentioned that it will deliver Andorid 4.4 KitKat update for HTC One within the month of January 2014.
