It’s no wonder that Samsung doesn’t feel shy to take forever to release an Android update for its Android smartphones. But at least it does, most of the time, release updates after doing some heavy customization. If you’re in Samsung’s territory, you should know that most of Samsung’s flagship series phones get the Android update for a long time. And this time, it’s the latest Android 4.4 KitKat time!
Samsung, according to sources of Phandroid — an Android website, has confirmed that at least 10 Samsung devices are getting Android 4.4 KitKat update soon enough. And the devices that are due the update are Galaxy S4, S4 Active, S4 Zoom, Galaxy Note 8, Note 3, Note 2, Galaxy Mega, Galaxy Tab 3, Galaxy S3 and S3 Mini.
It’s still unclear exactly when the device owners can expect to receive an Android 4.4 KitKat update on their device, but it’s now for sure that these phones are getting one. For other phones, don’t worry too much. There’s always a way — the custom ROM way — to get the latest and greatest of Android on your smartphone; but don’t forget that extra happiness comes with a cost. And for this, you’d have to lose warranty.
