When it comes to Xiaomi, there is literally no need for any introductory tale. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has gotten a tight grip over the smartphone industry proving to be a tough competitor to the likes of Samsung and Sony. After massive success of its last flagship phone Xiaomi Mi3, the company is scheduled to officially unveil the current flagship phone Xiaomi Mi4 in India today.

Xiaomi Mi4 was launched in China last year. Users had to import these products if they were out of China and wanted to taste the best from what’s called the Apple of China. The aesthetically pleasing design of Xiaomi Mi4 didn’t fool reviewers into thinking that it was a unique design, but still managed to get out positive impression thanks to the beautifully executed phone that feels premium and performs well.

Since Xiaomi Mi4 has been around for a few months now, let’s just quickly run over its specifications and remind Indian customers what they can expect from the flagship device that’s launching in their country today. The Xiaomi Mi4 packs a 2.5-GHz quad-core processor (Snapdragon 801) with 3 GB RAM. It is a 5-inch IPS beauty with full HD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The flagship device has a 13 MP camera on the back that can shoot 4K video and 8 MP camera on the front, so you can beat the heck out of your friends with your higher resolution selfies. It comes with Android 4.4.3 KitKat installed but on top of that runs Xiaomi’s own interface MIUI 6. The new interface gives an iOS-like experience with no traditional homescreen or app drawers.

The new phone supports all LTE, 3G and WiFi network on the connectivity front. To power up the whole device, there is a massive 3040 mAh battery under the hood. A source cited a Xiaomi official in India that the phone’s price may touch Rs 20,000. But the Indian folks won’t have to wait long to find out.
