Micromax recently announced their Windows Phone lineup. It’s the latest company to shake hands with Microsoft to produce Windows Phone together. Both the phones are budget devices but pack enough horsepower to operate Windows Phone 8.1 smoothly. Both devices will have WP 8.1 out of the box.

The Micromax Canvas Win W092 packs a 4″ WVGA IPS display, Snapdragon 200 chipset (quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM), and comes with a 5MP rear cam, a VGA front camera, 8GB expandable storage and dual-SIM support. The Canvas Win W092 will be available from July at Rs 6,500 (Tk. 9750- Tk. 10000 ) It will be the cheapest Windows Phone available.

The Micromax Canvas Win 121 is powered also by a Snapdragon 200 chip, but relies on a bigger 5″ IPS display of 720p resolution and has an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front snapper, and 8GB expandable storage. It will also launch in July and will set you back Rs 9.500 (Tk. 14250 – Tk. 15000).

Microsoft is using all its might to stay in the game competing with mighty Android and iOS. Only time will tell whether their efforts will bear any fruit.
