Google Releases Android 4.4.1 for Nexus 5: Features Improved Camera

Nexus 5 will start receiving the first-ever KitKat update starting today. According to Google, the update will improve the camera performance of Nexus 5.

Nexus 5 camera has a new feature called HDR+ that can take multiple shots and combine them to give you the best possible high dynamic range image. However, users have been complaining about the HDR+ photos coming out differently on each test. An update was bound to be released to keep the users happy given that camera is one of the most important parts of a smartphone in today’s market.

Google noted that the update will make the camera capable of shooting bright photos in low-light condition, something Nexus 5 camera was never really much good at. But how much of a better photo will Nexus 5 camera take in low-light condition remains to be seen until the update hits some Nexus 5 phones.
