A handful of Chinese brands have stepped up from the zone of producing low-quality, low-standard imitation phones to the point where they can compete with the big brothers. One of the Chinese brands that have made headlines in the past has just announced its newest flagship phone, and it’s without a doubt the best beast money can buy.
With 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) IPS display panel backed by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, the new device called Gionee Elife E7, sequel to much acclaimed Elife E6, now sports 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. But that’s if you get the 3G edition. A separate LTE variant packs a much more powerful 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor.
There are also differences between the storage capacity and RAM. If you opt for 16 GB model, you will enjoy 2 GB RAM packed with it. However, if you think 16 GB is too mainstream and want 32 GB model for more apps and games, you will get 3 GB RAM along with it to support the extra power.
Both of these models, however, are equipped with 2,500 mAh battery and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on top of Gionee’s Amigo 2.0 user interface. Both of the models have all the latest technologies such as NFC, OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi-Direct, 3 microphone for noise cancellation 16 MP on the back and 8 MP camera on the front and much more.
Gionee, on the launching program held in China, announced that 16 GB model will cost 2,699 Chinese Yuan which is close to BDT 35,000 and $442. 32 GB model will cost 3,199 Chinese Yuan or about BDT 41,000 and $525. Gionee said that the new flagship phone will go on sale early 2014 all over the globe. The company also announced that a Gionee Elife E7 mini is in the works that will feature a MediaTek octa-core processor.
